Rue Chapon, Marais district, 75003 Paris
Air-conditioned studio apartment with balcony, no elevator.

Metro Stops: Arts et Metiers, Rambuteau,
Reaumur-Sebastopol and Republique

Located on the rue Chapon in the 3rd district (arrondissement) - sleeps up to 2 people.

This studio apartment of 35m2 (approx. 360 square feet) is on the 4th floor (french) of a 19th century building with a balcony overlooking the rooftops of Paris. It is situated in a quiet street of the 3rd arrondissement near the Georges Pompidou Center.  The living/dining room has a sleeping section with a queen size bed that very comfortably accommodates 2 people. There is one fully modernized bathroom with bath tub and shower. The kitchen is up to date and completely equipped. There is a dining table and fireplace. The floors are of hard wood and the refined furnishings and overall interior design lend a wonderfully baroque style to this apartment.  The building is typical of the Marais district in which it is located. The apartment is fully air-conditioned, very sunny and quiet.  No smoking.

This arrondissement of Paris is part of the Marais, one of the oldest and most sought after neighborhoods of the French capital. In recent years the Marais has undergone an amazing transformation and now boasts a dizzying selection of boutiques, restaurants and cafes. However, in spite of its now fashionable reputation the rue Chapon and the surrounding area still retain the charm of a true Parisian quartier. It was the Marais that became home to many of the French nobility who had constructed in town mansions (hotels particuliers) in order to remain close to the royal court at the Louvre. These structures, of which there remain many, have now been transformed into museums, apartment buildings and what the French refer to as “espaces” for art exhibitions, displays and a host of other functions. Primary sites in the Marais include the Museum of Arts and Trades, the Museum of Art and History of Judaism, the National Picasso Museum, the Cognacq-Jay Museum, the Museum of the History of France and the Carnavalet Museum.
